RVT
Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating companion animals by performing a range of technical duties. Conduct physical exams, collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing, and administer medications and vaccines. Support veterinarians in surgeries and dental procedures, ensuring the safe use of anesthetics and monitoring vital signs. Educate pet owners about postoperative care and general pet health. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure that all equipment and work areas are clean and sterile.
Requires an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology or its foreign equivalent. Must be certified or licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of California.
Vet Tech Assistant
Support veterinarians and technicians in routine and emergency care of animals. Assist with physical exams, restraining animals, and preparing patients for diagnostic tests and procedures. Administer medications as directed, collect samples, and ensure animals are comfortable. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment and sterilize surgical instruments. Help with record-keeping and inventory management, and provide clear communication to pet owners regarding care and follow-up procedures.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
Receptionist
Examine animals and diagnose their health problems. Perform examinations, diagnostic, medical, surgical and dental procedures on companion animals as needed. Medicate animals suffering from infections or illnesses. Prescribe medication. Treat and dress wounds. Test and vaccinate against diseases. Advise pet owners about general care, medical conditions, treatments, housing, animal feeding, animal behavior, and animal breeding. Provide preventative care to maintain animal health.
Requires First Professional Degree of Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or its foreign equivalent. Must be licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in the state of California.
